The lights are on
If you've ever considered using a power-leveling service to help you hit the level cap in your MMO of choice as quickly as possible, NCSoft has an important (and pretty funny) message: These companies may be making you an offer you can't refuse.
In a new "The More You MMO" video made in collaboration with Rooster Teeth for the Aion blog, NCSoft highlights some of the potential dangers of handing your account over to a power-leveling operation with an interesting analogy.
There may not be as much correlation between power-leveling and organized crime as the video suggests, but there's certainly a lot of risk involved whenever you give out sensitive account information for an online service. I just wish I could get all my important life and video game lessons via silly public service announcements like this one.
oh lordy, that was funny. i get spam adds in ffxi all the time, though i'd never wish broken legs on someone who took advantage of power leveling services.
Good old Rooster Teeth eh? They are some funny guys.
almost as funnny as world of wifecraft...almost
I love these commercials. Now Microsoft and Nintendo yuor turn
Welcome to the Wonderful New World of/for Gamers
LMFAO "the more you MMO."
The rest was kinda lame except for the premise, coulda been pulled off better, but worth the watch nonetheless.
Hm, and I thought I was the only one running a "power leveling" scam w/ a bunch of thugs...(lol)
That was hilarious.
They should really do this. It's genius.
Face breaking is never a good thing.
lol that was pretty funny
Heh.. that was pretty good. I always wonder how weird it must be to get cast for "super dopey looking nerd" for things like this, though.
While this is a cute attempt, it doesn't address the issue of ridiculous time requirements to hit max level. Take away mindless grinding and people would be less inclined to pay for leveling.
Don't treat the symptom treat the cause.
Now this is a well done game commercial. Sony, you should take notice.
