The lights are on
Call of Duty has seen a level of mainstream success that few franchises in gaming history can claim to achieve. Considering that less-popular series have been turned into Hollywood films, we wouldn't be surprised if Activision decided to take their shooter to the big screen. As we've done in the past, we've decided to save the producers some time by offering up our casting pics.
Note: I just grabbed a bunch of characters from a bunch of different Call of Duty games. If you're wondering why they'd all be in a movie together, you're already thinking too hard about this feature.
John "Soap" MacTavish - Johnny Messner
Vladimir Makarov - Edward Norton
John Price - Lemmy Kilmister

Not gonna lie, I'd probably go see it for Lemmy as Price and DDL as the Dog.
real original on sam worthington and ed harris
Sam Worthington was the lead character in Black Ops, was he not?
cm punk as sarg woods.....i dont know how i feel about that.....
As always, nice selections Dan.
Haha! Great choices.
Daniel Day Lewis would be better as Price.
If Lemmy's in it, I'll pay to see it.
Soap's actor and Norton's character are def a fit. Everyone else, I dunno....... Cool idea though. This should be a thing that GI implements weekly. Put a game up and see what actors fit it the best. One thing I do have to say, did anyone else love Max Payne w/ Wahlberg as much as me? That movie was AWESOME!!!!)!
I think Daniel day lewis would accept that role
Got a laugh out of that last one.
The thing that kind of bothers me about a lot of these, and I don't just mean the ones that this site does, is that I think they would be more interesting if you were in the mindset of legitimately casting a movie. This one was really good as far as not completely succumbing to the idea of "whoever looks the most like him/her who is a celebrity", and using mostly genuine actors, but I feel like that was an accident. These are always funny, and I don't at all dislike them, but it'd be cool to see someone on one of these articles go a bit deeper than simple looks. My wife and I were recently recasting "The Room", but the rule was, everyone involved has to be a great actor (it's funnier that way, for us anyway). Looks are never overlooked when we do this, but the rule makes it so that it has to be more than that. I just wonder who you would've cast under these guidelines (not to be critical; I loved the article).
Don't get me wrong-Daniel Day Lewis is great. Wouldn't it make more sense to give the role to Sarah Jessica Parker? She's been playing a horse her whole life, transitioning to a dog should be natural. ;)
Aaaaaaand I nearly died of laughter lol
Ha, Great article Dan! That was great! Excellent comparison and line up. I enjoyed it
