At this year's DICE Summit, attendees were treated to a panel featuring Hollywood director J.J. Abrams and Valve's Gabe Newell. During the talk, they discussed the possibility of Half-Life and Portal movies. While there obviously aren't any concrete plans or pre-production status of either, it still got us thinking about who we'd like to see in the lead roles of a Half-Life film. Here are our picks.

Gordon Freeman - Damian Lewis

 

Alyx Vance - Krisin Kreuk

 

Barney Calhoun - Kyle Chandler

    I kind of feel like you google searched "Real Dr. Breen" and found a real Dr. Breen to play Dr. Breen.

    I think that Gordon should be Hugh Laurie.

    EDIT: After dans comment I can understand why he chose who he chose and I would have to agree with him on this.

    Before everyone says "BUT WHAT ABOUT HUGH LAURIE?!!?"... I thought about it, but I've already seen so many posts on Twitter/Reddit/whatever that had that idea. I wanted to use someone new. Plus, Laurie is too old.

    These articles always kind of crack me up for some reason. I think it's the notion that casting a part is as simple as finding someone who looks like the character you're casting, and that will make a good movie, lol.

    Dave Attel as Father Grigori!  Lol, at least that will give him something to do besides making porn jokes on Showtime.

    Pretty good casting if you ask me. While the casting for Breen is funny, I do wonder who could play him. I also wouldn't let Kristin Kreuk anywhere near the movie.. She's just one of those actresses I find annoying.

    You mean Stephen McHattie? A bit old, but not a bad choice. And it may be superficial, but I'd want an actress with a little more black in her to play Alyx. And one who didn't ruin Street Fighter.

    The movie will be shot entirely in 1st person. No one will play Gordon Freeman. Real question, who plays the crowbar?

    No way Bryan Cranston as Gordon freeman all the way, I mean did you see him with that beard and glasses at the beginning of the season 5 premiere?
