The lights are on
With Skyward Sword about to release, it's a big weekend for the Legend of Zelda franchise. What better way to celebrate than looking back at Zelda's darkest hour?
Jeff Cork, Andrew Reiner, and I join Kyle Hilliard to mock him for owning a Philips CD-i – one of the most notoriously terrible game consoles ever released – and mock the CD-i Zelda games for existing. On this episode we look at both Link: Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. Don't get your hopes up that we'll find something redeeming in these forgotten atrocities.
Enjoy this episode, and check out previous Replays on our Replay hub.
That picture is thoroughly disturbing.
I've just went back to watching Link to the Past yesterday and I remember Dan saying he would like to do a Replay on the CD-i games... Oh boy let's watch these horrid games being played. This is gonna be hilarious!
...wow. Those are some "classic" games...although, the Mario game didn't look terrible...
It's hard to watch Kyle play these games, but funny at the same time. "No Kyle! No Kyle! Awwww!" lol.
haven't even watched this yet, but i totally enjoy watching you guys play through these hellish creations
"Oh boy! I can't wait to bomb some Dodongos!" Wow. Just............ wow.
"What better way to celebrate than looking back at Zelda's darkest hour?"
I love it.
I watched up to 22 mins of this and now I can't take it anymore. I did get a good chuckle at this, though. Thanks. :)
I'd like to see Dan do a super replay of one of them. I want to know how long it'd take. :)
I nearly choked on my coffee when watching this.
I think I can say in all seriousness that I'd rather play Overblood.
Zelda CD-I and Hotel Mario? My Saturday has been made.
Lamp oil, rope, bombs, you want it? It's yours my friend, as long as you have enough ruby's.
The most horrible Gaming experience i've ever had the misfortune of playing. 30 minutes of this game felt like an eternal lifetime of hell lol.
