Looks not so great. The graphics sure, but the 'press this button for an awesome real-time event maneuver' sure is lame. It's like playing an action movie you say? It's really no different than pushing pause and then play when you're watching the real thing. But of course, gimmicks look cool. Cool looking things sell.

I've had a lot of issues with origin and battlelog.

I don't really care for the overly cinematic button movie moments though. It just seems like all 'modern' shooters are the same though these days. Great graphics, smooth gameplay, but over the top plots and set pieces..and I'm sorry. I hope Battlefield does very well, and hope it beats CoD(my personal bias), but they just seem so...similar. in this iteration.

Looks alright.  I'm not a big fan of military shooters, but my eyes have been on this.

Battlefield 3 has stunning attention to detail. It perfectly captures the dangers of everyday life here in Des Moines. It's pretty chaotic. :/

Great video guys, been waiting to see what you guys think about Battlefield 3. Having served in the military as a 19K Armor Crewman, I would like to answer some of the questions asked during the video.

1. "If there is going to be swearing in the military I want none of it" Soldiers do in fact make extremely heavy use of profanity so yes, you probably won't like your time in the military especially a combat unit.

2. "Do you think the military still uses paper maps?" Yes, basic land navigation is extremely important and is a requirement, especially for combat units. If you don't have access to a PLGR (a military GPS) then you will need to know how to use a military map with the grid reference system and a basic compass to navigate.

3. Oscar Mike, which means "on the move" is actually used a lot in the military along with Roger even during normal conversations. So if your sick of it in military games..I imagine it would drive you nuts hearing it all the time even in casual chatter.

Character models, textures, and cut scenes all look great. I'll have to find out more about the campaign(length specifically) before I decide to buy.

Mirrors Edge 2 with that engine? Yes please...and I always wish I could be named fallow in games too...Ok, once Skyrim comes out I'll name my second character Fallow.
