Dead Cells' Latest Console Update Introduces A New Foe And Gameplay Tweaks

by Emma Welch-Murphy on Jul 11, 2019 at 01:30 PM

Be it concerns from the community or changes Motion Twin felt it needed to make, the 13th update for Dead Cells is here. The update is currently available for PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. It was previously available on the PC version.

The patch includes a new mob called The Rampager, which are zombies but much more dangerous. Adding this, Motion Twin has taken out Arbiter from the game entirely. There have also been reworks on the Thunder Shield which means that now when players parry, shields charge up dealing damage all around the player. When a block is put up again, the shield is going to discharge and stun all nearby enemies. Keeping the shield up alone only does damage in front.

Another community addition involves heavy fixes to the Elite. Minions have been removed as well as the bump when the Elite charges. Elites can no longer see players through walls and all activables and weapons dropped are going to have a starred affix. When it comes to mob + ability combos, Shield + Shielding pylons, Failed Experiment + Rotating laser and Bomber + Rotating laser have been prevented.
