Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness Release Date Announced

Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness is already out for the PlayStation 3 in Japan (as Disgaea Dimension 2), and now fans of the tactical RPG can look forward to getting their hands on the game this fall.

The title – featuring the ability to piggyback on monsters, a master/pupil skill system, and more customization for the franchise – hits American shelves on October 8.

A Brighter Darkness is a chronological sequel to the first Disgaea game, and features Laharl as an Overlord of the Netherworld.

Our Take
Handhelds are often the last refuge for niche series/genres like this, so it's good to see that Nippon Ichi is letting fans experience the game on the big screen with their PS3s.
