Plants Vs. Zombies Sequel Adding Time Travel To The Mix, July Release Confirmed
PopCap has released a new trailer for its Plants vs. Zombies sequel, and the game's "It's About Time" subtitle looks like it's going to deliver in the most literal way possible.
The clip shows Crazy Dave getting ready in the morning, preparing his lawn for the next inevitable zombie wave, and then taking the wheel of his time-traveling RV. Looking at the presets on the machine, it sure seems as though the wild west, ancient Egypt, and the future are on the menu. The future setting would lend itself nicely to the Mass Effect and Dead Space tie-ins that PopCap teased over the weekend.
EA has shared that the latest Plants vs. Zombies will be a live service and free to play. Content will continue to be released on an ongoing basis, with new levels, plants, and zombies added over time. The title will also feature new powerups and ways to interact with the zombies.
Look for more Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time information as we approach its summer release on July 18 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
