Moby Dick Studio's Phantom Pain Debuts At VGAs

Update: The Phantom Pain may not be a new franchise after all. Click this link to see what Neogaf dug up.

Spike's Video Game Award show is known for its video game debuts. No time was wasted delivering a big game announcement this year.

The game of note is Moby Dick Studio's Phantom Pain. Appearing to be a psychological thriller, or perhaps a survival horror game, Phantom Pain follows a character who has been in a coma for "quite some time." He has a prosthetic arm, and is struggling to walk. The hospital he's slowly working his way through is under attack by armed men. Smoke hangs heavy in the air. Patients and doctors are gunned down. And just when it seems these gunmen are the biggest concern, we see a unicorn with its horn ablaze.

Phantom Pain's looks intense.  I can't wait to see more of it.

No systems or timeframe were revealed, other than the presenter saying that "we all have to wait to play it."
