Assassin's Creed Movie Stars Michael Fassbender
The upcoming Assassin's Creed movie will star Michael Fassbender, who most notably played Magneto in X-Men: First Class and David in Prometheus.
"Michael Fassbender was our first choice to play the franchise's iconic hooded hero," Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures told Variety in an interview. "Michael is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor."
Fassbender, who will also co-produce the film, recently had roles in Haywire and Shame. The report says Ubisoft will develop the film internally but could still distribute it through Sony.
