Starting with Super Mario Land 2 on the Game Boy, Nathan Anstadt has had an enduring fascination with, and ever-deepening appreciation for, video games. Not long after, he moved on to Pokémon, which cemented the hobby. Nathan then pursued a degree in English literature from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs so he could write about games with the seriousness he otherwise only reserved for collecting e-Reader cards and Amiibos. Since his earliest forays into video games, a lot has changed as he now loves playing Pokémon and Mario on his Switch instead of his Game Boy. Now he finds himself venturing toward the nearest Pokéstop in Pokémon Go. When he isn’t playing video games, Nathan likes to crack open a good book to prove that his literature degree wasn’t a total waste, or he spends time with his lovely girlfriend.
