  • Who can read the Game Informer Android app?

    US subscribers can access all issues on our Android app. International readers can purchase individual issues from the app.

  • What is the latest version of the Android app?

    The latest version is 2.6. It was released on 6/8/2018.

  • What Android devices does Game Informer support?

    As of October 21, 2016 the Game Informer Android app will run on any Android tablet or smartphone running Android OS 4.0 or higher.

  • I do not see any of my back issues

    The mobile edition is available beginning with the November 2016 issue. You will not see any issues prior to November 2016.

    The tablet edition was released in July 2012. You will have access to issues back to July 2012.

  • I am stuck. How do I access the in-app on-screen menu?

    Press and hold your finger on the screen. Menu options will appear on the bottom of your Android Tablet or on the left side of your Android phone.

  • Does the Game Informer Android app support background downloading?

    The Game Informer Android app supports background downloading however you have to ensure that the Game Informer app is allowed to run in the background when the device goes to sleep. Settings vary between devices; please refer to your device's user guide.

  • Does the Game Informer Android app support offline reading?

    The Game Informer Android app has partial support for offline reading. Downloaded issues are accessible offline, however some content and features that require online access will not be available.

  • Do you offer a digital version of your print magazine?

    Game Informer is also available on Google Play Magazine, Nook Newsstand, and Kindle Newsstand. The content is a replica of our print magazine, although they’re two separate products and we can’t merge your subscriber account right now.

  • I have a Nook HD+ tablet, does Game Informer support it?

    As of July 8, 2013, we no longer officially support the Nook HD+ tablet. However you can still install and run the app at your own discretion. All currently published magazines should be readable.

  • I have a HD tablet. Why does the content appear soft?

    High-definition magazine issues became available starting August 2016. Most issues before August 2016 are published in regular resolution, not HD, so when the content is scaled it will appear soft.

  • My issue gets stuck importing, or it takes forever to import

    Please check that you have a strong Wi-Fi connection and let it run. It will take a while to fully download and several minutes to process the file when the download completes, as we’ve chosen to embed rich digital media content that pushes up the file size.

  • I can access the menu, but I am not seeing anything in the store or issue library

    Try clearing the Game Informer application's data and cache in the Android Settings menu. Relaunch the app.

  • I can't sign in

    Digital subscribers get full access to the Google Play app. If you are a current digital subscriber and have created a username and password on gameinformer.com, here are the steps to see your issues:

    1. Tap "My Account" in the menu.
    2. Sign in with the username and password you created on gameinformer.com.
      • If you need help with your password, please click here to have it emailed to you
      • If you need help remembering your username, please call us at 612-486-6100
    3. Tap "Sign In".

    If you’d like to switch from a Print subscription to Digital, make the change here.

  • How do I remove issues from the app?

    Go to the "Issues" tab and tap the "Remove Issues" button on the upper left. Tap and select the issues you want to remove, then tap on the trash icon on the upper right corner. Press "Done" to finish.

  • Who can read the Game Informer iOS app?

    US subscribers can access all issues on our iOS app. International readers can purchase an iTunes subscription or individual issues from the app.

  • What is the latest release of the iOS app?

    The latest version is 2.4. It was released on 5/4/2018.

  • Which iPad/iPhone devices does the Game Informer digital app support?

    The Game Informer Digital app is available on iPad 2 and higher for tablets running iOS 8 or newer. iPhone 5 and higher for smartphones running iOS 8 or newer.

  • I do not see any of my back issues

  • How do I delete a downloaded issue?
    1. Launch the app and navigate to the Issue Library. Tap on "Remove issues?" under the gear icon. You may be asked for your login credentials
    2. Select the downloaded issues you would like to delete
  • Does the Game Informer iOS app support background downloading?

    The Game Informer iOS app supports background downloading, but if the Wi-Fi connection is interrupted during download you may have to re-download the issue from scratch.

  • The app crashes when I try to download or read an issue
    1. Try powering down your iPad and reboot
    2. Make sure there's at least 2GB of free space on your device
    3. If steps 1 and 2 do not resolve the issue, try removing the downloaded magazine and re-downloading from scratch
    4. If step 3 does not resolve the issue please delete the app and reinstall, as the application data may be corrupt
  • I have an in-app subscription, so why aren't new issues appearing in the library?
    1. Make sure you've updated the Game Informer app to the latest version
    2. Launch the app, navigate to the Issue Library, and tap on "Missing issues?" under the gear icon. You may be asked for your login credentials
    3. If you do not see new issues in the library, please force quit the Game Informer app (instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137)
    4. Turn off your iPad, power it up, and relaunch the Game Informer app. Perform step 2 again
  • I can't see any Issues

    Once you are signed in (see the "I can’t sign in" help issue below) tap "Issue Library" to see all available issues

    Note: Since each issue is created specifically for the iPad, you’ll see issues beginning with July 2012 and moving forward.

  • I am stuck on "Loading..."

    This rarely happens unless your wi-fi reception is poor. If you are stuck on "Loading..." try the following:

    1. Force quit the Game Informer app (instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137). Turn off your device, power it up, relaunch the Game Informer app, and re-download the issue
    2. Uninstall the Game Informer app and reinstall
  • I can't sign in

    Digital subscribers get full access to the monthly tablet app. If you are a current digital subscriber and have created a username and password on gameinformer.com, here are the steps to sign in and see your issues:

    1. Tap "My Account"
    2. Sign in with the username and password you created on gameinformer.com

  • What are the requirements for reading Game Informer on my desktop?

    You can view Game Informer desktop edition using any modern web browser.

  • I do not see my back issues

    The PC/MAC interactive edition was released in June 2011. You will have access to issues all the way back to June 2011.

  • Do I need Flash to read the magazine?

    Issues before April 2018 issue are optimized for Flash. Issues from April 2018 and beyond do not require Flash.

  • My browser is not loading the Flash viewer

    Please make sure you have Adobe Flash enabled. For Chrome, please refer to this article on how to enable it.

  • I signed up but am not receiving my digital copies
    1. First, check your junk and spam folders. Subscription emails are sometimes routed there accidentally
    2. Add gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com to your Contacts list
    3. Ensure the email you're checking is the same email address you signed up with at the store

    Note: You can always access your digital issues directly at gameinformer.com via the the Magazine tab.

  • I don't see a launch button / The digital email brings me to the Subscribe screen / I'm unable to view my digital copies
    1. First, ensure you're logged in to your Game Informer account
    2. Second, verify the email associated with your Game Informer account matches the email you signed up for your digital subscription with
    3. Third, check that the email your digital notification arrives at and the email associated with your Game Informer account are the same
  • I forgot my username/password

    Reset your password or view your username here.

  • I see a gray screen / The magazine doesn't load
    1. Try an alternate browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Microsoft Edge
    2. Ensure all Adobe Flash components are up to date in your browser
    3. If this does not work, try logging out of your Game Informer account, clear your browser's cookies and cache, and log back in
  • I want my digital issue delivered to a different email address

    Email gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com and request an email update. Include your complete name, address, the email your digital issues are currently being sent to, and the new email you'd like to use.

    If you've tried all of these steps and are still having trouble getting your issues, email gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com with your problem.
