Here we go.
My name's Jake and I've been around the Game Informer block for over a year now, having joined in April of 2014. I lived as a nomad on several gaming websites before finally deciding to take up permanent residence on Game Informer Online.
I'm a huge fan of blogging, as the creative process involving in coming up with an idea to write about, bringing the idea to life, and making it like pretty with pictures and whatnot never fails to get old. I'm rather busy with school and my part time job at the moment though, so blogging has sadly been put on the backburner.
I'm currently a sophomore in college, and I'll soon have a shiny Associate's Degree to show for it. In two years, I aim to have my Bachelor's in History and Secondary Education and begin teaching social studies at the high school level.
I've been a gamer since I was old enough to hold a Game Boy. For a while I was an ardent Nintendo fan, but the Wii U's barren library and the crippling lack of third party support has driven me into Sony territory. I've currently catching up on last generation gems that I missed out on on Playstation 3, and chipping away at new releases on the Playstation 4. It's a good time to be a gamer.
Feel free to shoot me a friend request on Game Informer, as I often try to involve Internet buddies in my blogging escapades. I don't like to accept requests from people whom I've never communicated with though, fair warning.
As far as friending on consoles go, here's all the juicy details. I predominantly play games on my Playstaiton 4 and 3DS for the record, so in my free time you'll likely find me there:
Wii U: MightyMagikarp
3DS Friend Code: 2707-1714-9111
Currently Playing: Super Mario World, Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones
I've filled out my various interests below. Read to your heart's content, and leave as many comments as you want on my wall. I'll respond as soon as I'm able. Enjoy your stay, and as our beloved community member Saint would say... "be excellent to one another."
