Is the Kinect-less Xbox One really that great for the long term? Time will tell, but they've really lost a key differentiating factor that I've heard many praise, and now any potential invention in the motion control space is truly effed. The One's Kinect was super advanced and had huge potential, but no dev will gamble on an optional device that won't guarantee a compatible audience. Cliff Bleszinski once said that if MS sucked up the bad press and slower sales of the online dependent version for a couple of years, they would be reaping the benefits of a future-proofed platform in the long run. After all, Sony sold PS3s at a loss for 4 years, but they turned it around by adding to the platform, not reigning things in out of denial. They grew the services until they were attractive and patiently watched the cost go down. I wonder if Microsoft even knows where they're going anymore.

I don't particularly care for the community here anymore. Except for you guys of course! You're all still awesome! Whew... Bullet dodged.

How silly is it that I have a charging dock for my Xbox controllers, that got lost in the move, and now both controllers are dead, and I can't use my Xbox! Might just go back to corded controllers...

Sunset Overdrive is great. If you have an Xbox One, you have no excuse not to get it.

AGH. Between my senior project and Scholar of the First Sin, I haven't done ANY retro gaming. I feel like a traitor.

Yeah, I'm leaving until this is over. That article wasn't neutral. Look at what it was encouraging, for people to not be part of Gamergate, an outcome that would clearly benefit Anti-Gamergate. It also pushed the fake narrative of Gamergate being a hatemob. Anyone who says this has clearly not actually bothered to look into Gamergate. If lone trolls represent an entire movement, then anti-Gamergate is evil incarnate. This is the violence moral panic all over again, exact same tactics. So this is goodbye for now, I've learned how to tell when I'm not welcome anymore. At least until this issue is over, which probably won't be anytime soon.
