The lights are on

  • Hey friends. I've decided to leave the GI community.  I've had a lot of fun these past few years discussing gaming, one of my passions. But every few months I tire of the alternative account-permaban-drama that ensues.  I wish we could all just get along.  Anyway, if you want to game on PS4 with me and my husband,  hit up Jax, Jason, or Trenchmace, they have my handle. Love to you all. on 28 Jan 2017 3:28 PM
  • Finished Breath of the Wild.  Loved it. on 28 Apr 2017 3:48 PM
  • Loving Freedom Wars.  I bought the game several months back for $5 during flash sale.  I tried to get into it but couldn't.  Now that i've had the chance to revisit it, i'm hooked.  I hope to see more Vita support from these devs in the future. on 13 Mar 2016 1:06 PM
  • Back in my day, we didn't have wireless internet connection when we played. We had a Lam cord connected to to each computer as we destroyed each other in Doom and Quake. And even when we go a wireless connection, we had to make sure nobody was going to use the phone in the house because it destroys the connection! And don't get me started on Laser Mouses! At least we knew they had balls! on 24 Apr 2017 5:38 PM

  • The Witcher 3, what can I say? What a massive undertaking and investment of time. Did it payoff? I'd say not. I'm not sure why I put myself through these things, but I couldn't stop myself from committing to finish it. It seemed like the story would undermine established philosophies and legacies about its main characters regularly, including Geralt. The gameplay kneecapped itself with archaic controls and ridiculously sticky background objects. I guess I'm just not a fan of accumulating an endless amount of fetch quests with barely discernable differences, not to mention sorting and shedding and selling and buying items all day long. The abilities seemed pretty tame as well. I focused on magic, as I was hoping for some impressive abilities there, but I feel like I had more fun in the previous games upgrading physical abilities, and tearing people apart like Ciri did in the end of this game. In my finale, Ciri lived and became a Witcher, and Radovid slaughtered all of the people that are like Geralt and Ciri and Yenn, and apparently they just went on about their merry way, hot tubs and noon breakfasts. I just don't get it. on 9 Apr 2017 9:26 PM

  • I've finally decided to partake in Game Club!  I wrote a piece about Uncharted 4 and its very effective use of foil characters, but be warned - this is a spoiler heavy read!  www.gameinformer.com/.../game-club-the-many-foil-characters-of-uncharted-4.aspx on 23 May 2016 10:35 PM
