  • Is the Kinect-less Xbox One really that great for the long term? Time will tell, but they've really lost a key differentiating factor that I've heard many praise, and now any potential invention in the motion control space is truly effed. The One's Kinect was super advanced and had huge potential, but no dev will gamble on an optional device that won't guarantee a compatible audience. Cliff Bleszinski once said that if MS sucked up the bad press and slower sales of the online dependent version for a couple of years, they would be reaping the benefits of a future-proofed platform in the long run. After all, Sony sold PS3s at a loss for 4 years, but they turned it around by adding to the platform, not reigning things in out of denial. They grew the services until they were attractive and patiently watched the cost go down. I wonder if Microsoft even knows where they're going anymore. on 13 May 2014 11:38 AM
  • Hello Everyone! Sorry I have been absent for so long. Back in May I met an amazing man and fell inlove with him. Almost all my waking time has been spent with him. He is the man I plan to marry and spend the rest of my life with. I will try to be around more though. Love you all GIO! on 16 Jul 2013 11:54 AM

  • Okay people. Due to certain circumstances in my life, I've been going through the process of starting over with things in my life, and that includes any online activity I was involved with. I'm forever signing off of this profile, but don't worry! I'm creating a new one. Now, as a gamer, this is where I like to have fun with this: if you want to friend me again, you have to find me. ;) It won't be too hard since I'm sort of not straying too far from the name you see now. Happy hunting! ^_^ on 23 Sep 2012 7:28 PM
  • Rounded up a few games on Steam.  Picked up the excellently made ziggurat, a first person Rougelite game that is fun, challenging but not brutally at the beginning! Love leveling up, picking up new buffs, weapons and dodging enemy attacks and traps!  I also gave in and picked up Five Nights at Freddy's 2 & 3 ( skipping the first) after reading and watching theories about the entire world created by  Scott Cawthon.  Love it or hate it, the legacy and mythos of Five Nights and Freddy's is a fantastic one, excellently and subtly crafted by one guy that has thousands talking about.  It makes me think back to the good old days of gaming.  Where yo uand your friends would talk endlessly about a game, it's story, things you have have discovered, unlocked or even far reaching theories and to be honest, that's a fading thing.  With so many games kinda spelling everything out for you (some made today don't but i'm going for overall) or just not having enough put in to have people speculate about things within the game.  After playing a bit in both games, I really dig the style and gameplay.  It's horror comes not from the jumpscares, but the stories, the animatronics creepily moving about and the tension of managing the mechanics to survive. I appreciate what went into this franchise. on 7 Mar 2015 12:55 AM
