A native Texan with a geeky love for cartoons, comic books, literature, horror movies, and video games. Barista. Dog owner. Student. Creative type. And, after years of living like a college student, I'm beginning to teach myself how to cook.
My earliest gaming memories are of playing a family friend's Atari 2600. My first owned console was the Sega Master System, in Kindergarten. From the SMS, I moved on to the Sega Genesis in the third grade, with the Sega Game Gear not long after that; I was the definite Sega player of the neighborhood kids. Then FINALLY, after years of playing Nintendo games at friends' homes, for Christmas I received the SNES w/ Super Mario All-Stars, and a hand-me-down NES with a few random cartridges (side note, Fester's Quest can rot in Hell).
And as the years went on, more consoles and games came and went.
Anyway, you get the picture.
I love the storytelling found in most of modern gaming. But despite the graphical and technological progress made by the industry, I'll always be an 8-bit and 16-bit girl at heart.
