UPDATE: Our Castlevania: Lords of Shadow spoiler discussion has been delayed, but for a very good reason. I still can't say why, but only because I don't want to promote something that might not happen. I assure you that if it works out, you won't want to miss it! Again, if you happen to know what I'm working on for this segment, please keep it a secret - thanks!
Episode 16 is available now. This week, we discuss our favorite movies from 2010 and the movies we're looking forward to in 2011. Also, Dean rants about Superman.
Episode 15 is available now. This week, we interview Axe Cop's Ethan Nicolle and discuss Axe Cop, video games, and Axe Cop in relation to video games. This episode also includes the Robot in the Corner 2010 Video Game Awards. Break audio taken from music by Emery.
I'm playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow today, and I keep thinking, "I don't want this to end." Though I'm only two levels into the second chapter, I've found myself captivated by this game. The environments are fascinating, the music is exhilarating, the narrative is mesmerising, the scrolls are satisfying to read, the book-style menu is interesting and the combat is invigorating (once you get the hang of it.) Despite the religious fantasy (that doesn't exactly line-up with Biblical doctrine), this game makes me feel good. I'm really enjoying the story of this man's quest to defeat evil and be reunited with his deceased wife.
Episode 14 is available now. This week, we share our listerners' ideas for racing games, briefly discuss who's won Game of the Year (so far), and to celebrate our first year (four months) of podcasting, we share our listeners' favorite things from Robot in the Corner. Break audio is taken from music by Run-DMC.
UPDATE: Well, more of a reminder... This weekend is the last recording of Robot in the Corner for the year. RITC episodes will resume on Monday, January 10, 2011. If you have an idea for a racing game that you'd like us to share on the show, please submit that before Saturday.
I have a busy week ahead, so I uploaded early this week! EDIT: I updated the post time this morning to make sure I didn't confuse anyone who's used to this going up on Monday mornings, HAHA!
UPDATE: It's confirmed! We will have our very first guest host on the next episode of Robot in the Corner. This guest is a friend of ours... we hope you enjoy his inclusion on the show. Don't get too excited, but Hist is helping me figure out the best way to have phoned-in guests on the show, so bear with us as we figure out the technical side of this future, potential inclusion to our podcast arsenal.
UPDATE: Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This is the perfect time to remind all of you to submit your 3 things your thankful for in the video game industry (see below for more details.) We'll be recording this weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) so get those in ASAP if you want them shared on the show! :)
