Xbox One Gets Mouse And Keyboard Support Next Week, Fortnite And Warframe Among First Games To Support

by Brian Shea on Nov 10, 2018 at 05:00 PM

As previously announced, Microsoft is bringing mouse and keyboard support to Xbox One. While that September announcement simply told us "in coming weeks" as a timing window, we now have a much clearer picture as to when the support will be added to the console: next week.

Select titles will be enabled for Xbox Insiders, with more on the way. Fortnite will be one of the first titles to offer support for this input method, joining the previously announced Warframe. In addition, the following games are slated to support mouse and keyboard on Xbox One in future updates, with the first games adding support in this month:

  • Bomber Crew
  • Children of Morta
  • DayZ
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Minion Master
  • Moonlighter
  • Strange Brigade
  • Vermintide 2
  • Vigor
  • War Thunder
  • Warface
  • Wargroove
  • X-Morph Defense

Also, as previously reported, Microsoft is collaborating with hardware and peripheral manufacturer Razer as an exclusive partner for specially designed Xbox mice and keyboards. These new peripherals are created for living room or desktop setups and come equipped with an Xbox key. They also support the new dynamic lighting feature on Xbox One, which enables in-game lighting effects. These Xbox mice and keyboards will be formally introduced at CES in January.
