Maneater
The depth of Maneater's combat, exploration, and customization are highlighted in this behind-the-scenes video. Maneater is the upcoming shark RPG from Tripwire Interactive, which is slated to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (through the Epic Games Store) on May 22, with a Switch version to follow at an unspecified date later this year.
In Maneater, you are the shark, starting out as a young, orphaned baby that grows over time, eventually rivaling the likes of Jaws both in size and appetite. As you explore the waters of the world, you seek the blood of one human – the hunter who killed your mother. This quest will pit you against other human threats, as well as other wildlife that simply sees you as a meal. As you grow, either by feeding on fish or humans, you'll earn new attacks, abilities, and cosmetics Yes, you get to design your own shark.
Maneater sounds like one of the wildest games slated for release this year, and I can't wait to see if playing as a shark is as fun as it appears to be in the video. We don't have long to wait to find out.
