The Game Informer Charity Stream For Justice
We at Game Informer want to use our platform for positive change, and we can't think of a better way to accomplish that than by having some fun with the community and raising money for an awesome organization.
Starting Monday, June 15, at 10 a.m. CT, we'll be raising funds for The NAACP Empowerment Programs and helping those in our communities who need assistance with education, legal assistance, and more.
If you can't make it for the stream but would still like to donate, you can do so here!
As much as donating is a reward within itself, we want to sweeten the pot. The two community members who donate the most money will have the opportunity to make a digital appearance on either The Game Informer Show or Replay, respectively!
So what will we be playing during the stream?
10 a.m. CT: Call of Duty Warzone: Season 4
UPDATE: Due to disappointing technical issues, we are not able to make the GTA mods segment work for this stream. Instead, Leo and I will be teaming up in Duos and taking on the world in the newest season of Call of Duty: Warzone.
11:30 a.m. CT: Best of E3 Segment
From there, we will move onto the Best of E3 Segment, where editors have picked some of their favorite moments from past trade shows to highlight and reminisce about.
1:00 p.m. CT: Playing Mario Kart 8 with the GI Community
Community members looking to school us in Mario Kart 8 on Switch can join our lobby now! All you have to do is boot up the game and enter the online play section. From there the GI's Charity Stream lobby can be found by searching the code 2660-6979-2299 under the "Search By Code" option in the online menus. You won't be able to start playing until the day of the stream, but can reserve your spot when the time comes!
2:30 p.m. CT: Jackbox
After Mario Kart, the editors will hop on their phones and play rounds of everyone's favorite party game!
4:00 p.m. CT: Super Replay - Portal
We are so excited about every portion of the day's schedule, but we saved the best for last. To end the show, we will be bringing back Super Replay! Andrew Reiner, a group of rotating editors, and I will be playing through the original Portal to end the day and bring back a GI community favorite.
We'll be going live on YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, Twitter, and Facebook, so be sure to join us for all the fun on Monday. We can't thank you enough for the support and we hope to see you in the chat!
