Guacamelee developer Drinkbox Studios has released a new trailer and details for its upcoming PS Vita game, Severed. The trailer shows off the monstrous world and touchscreen combat system players use against numerous beasts.
Players control Sasha, a one-armed warrior who wakes up in a strange new world, acquiring a living sword from a mysterious cloaked creature. She then sets off in search of her missing family. Combat with multiple creature types involves learning the appropriate strategy for each monster, and use of the focus meter to enter “sever mode,” which allows Sasha to throw enemies into the air and sever their limbs.
