Watch The Trailer For Castlevania Season Two

by Suriel Vazquez on Jul 28, 2018 at 01:11 PM

Netflix's animated Castlevania series, which fellow Game Informer editor Daniel Tack generally praised in his review, is getting a second season, and while October 26 is still a few months away, producer Adi Shankar has dropped the first trailer for the critically well-regarded series.

The trailer shows how the conflict between Dracula and humans will escalate in the new season. Namely, Dracula, whose wife was unjustly murdered, shows off his incredible power, and we see several shots of humans dying in brutal ways, and the bodies are literally piling up. Drac's also recruited a few generals to aid his cause, which is exactly what you need to build tension across the second season's eight episodes (it's also faithful to the way Castlevania games are structured, no?).

Having met up across the four episodes of season one, Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso), and Alucard (James Callis) are all that can stop the complete destruction of humanity at the hands of Dracula and his minions. Watch the trailer for yourself below, but be warned that this trailer is very explicit.

And in case you were wondering, it's likely a third season is already on the way.
