Party With Game Informer At 2D Con This Weekend

by Andrew Reiner on Aug 07, 2017 at 11:40 AM

Starting this Friday, a good number of Game Informer staffers will be at 2D Con, a fan convention held at the Doubletree hotel in Bloomington, MN. Game Informer is well represented across all three days of this show, starting with a live Replay recording on the main stage at 6 p.m. on Friday.

The focus of this Replay episode is to play through some of the worst games ever made, including Superman 64 and Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. You may even see us play some games that fans have been demanding for years (including a co-op adventure starring Dan Tack and Kim Wallace). The live Replay runs for four hours and is just a few feet away from a bar. We'll also be bringing community members on stage to become a part of the show. If you aren't at 2D Con, you can watch it live on Twitch right here.

On the following day at 11 a.m. CT, I am giving a keynote speech with friends Chris Kluwe (former Minnesota Vikings punter turned game creator) and Justin Courtney Pierre (lead singer of Motion City Soundtrack). Our talk is about inspiring creativity. We will explore all of our works from writing to designing, and will end our session by answering your questions.

On all of the days, the Game Informer crew will be walking the halls of the convention, and will be involved in the tournaments and board game play sessions. Tickets are $30, and the show opens at 10 a.m. CT on Friday. We hope to see you there! Check out the official 2D Con website for more information.
