Titan Attacks Invades Nintendo 3DS Next Year

by Matthew Stolpe on Dec 04, 2014 at 08:00 AM

Get ready to man your battle stations again. Curve Digital, the studio behind the PlayStation ports for Thomas Was Alone and Proteus, has announced today that it will be bringing Puppygames’ Titan Attacks to Nintendo 3DS next year.

Titan Attacks is more than a little inspired by Space Invaders; players control a tank that single-handedly fends off invading extra-terrestrial forces. But Titan Attacks carves out its own identity with colorful stages, customizable ships, and a futuristic soundtrack.

This isn’t the only Puppygames title Curve Digital will be bringing to consoles. The studio announced today it will also be porting the twin stick shooter Ultratron to current and last generation consoles.

Titan Attack’s Nintendo 3DS release is slated for early 2015. If you can’t wait to start defending Earth, then you’re in luck. The title is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac, and Linux.

Our Take
Curve Digital has been on an arcade game kick lately with its ports of Titan Attacks and Ultratron. Both look light and fun, yet challenging in their own right. Retro gamers should have a blast going back to this classic style of gaming.
