Ghost Recon Wildland's Persistent Performance Problems Present Barrier To Entry
Boo is here to write about Wildlands, which really interested me after I got hooked on The
Division (I picked it up post-updates for roughly $20).
Boo got to try Wildlands while it was free to play, and... the blogger isn't
impressed. "If I don't want to play your game for free, what makes you think I
would want to buy the full product?" Ouch.
Golden
Sun Needs to Rise Again
When you see a blog about Golden Sun, you read it. Why? Because just like
MightyMagikarp writes in his post, this series is good – and Nintendo needs to
bring it back. My brother and I own every game in the series (he's since given
me his games because he's nice like that), and I replay each one from time to
time, even if just a little. And forget Dark Dawn. I want a real sequel on the
Switch. Okay, I'm being silly there, but surely the developers had something else
in mind for their grand series?
The
List
Game Informer's top 300 games list was always going to be joyful, painful, and
more, for everyone who reads it. For Psydswipe, not one of his personal top 10 games made the list. I
can't remember what is all on the list, and I know a lot of my favorites didn't
make it, but I am surprised some of these weren't on there. What games do you
think deserved a spot in the 300?

Way Out's Unapologetic Vision is Refreshing
MightyMagikarp has totally grabbed my attention with this write-up on A Way Out.
I knew nothing about it until this blog, and though I had to skip the part
about the ending, it sounds like a good game, especially with the unique, co-op-only mechanic.
The
Underground: Pokémon Sinnoh Region
Sometimes a mini-game can absorb you more than the main game (here's
looking at you, Triple Triad and Blitzball). In Dawson's case, it was the
underground in Pearl and Diamond. I didn't partake in it too much, but I do
have fond memories of this part of the game.
The
Best Games Period – Episode 94 – Pokémon Go
Jack Gardner and company talk about Go, which is only two years old, as being
quite the achievement. I think it deserves a spot on this list simply because
my coworker, who has never played Pokémon before, plays it daily. Plus, her
names for Eevee's evolutions are the best: water dog, fire dog, and lighting dog.

Pikachu
I don't even understand this game yet, but Zack Burrows is here to shed some
light on the insanity. I impulse-bought this and the overly larger amiibo (yes,
those are still a thing) after watching a preview late one night. I still
haven't played it, mostly because I wish Danny DeVito voiced the character like
in the fan-made trailer. It sounds like Zack likes it, but it's an imperfect
side-story in the long pantheon of Pokémon games that exist just because
someone had a crazy whim. Nintendo is weird.
Bravely
Default – The Sincerest Form of Flattery
Insane_Buffoon gives us a review on a fantastic JRPG that can never be written
about enough. It may not be perfect, and very rarely is any JRPG, but it's a
great game for those looking for something more akin to early-day Final
Fantasy.
