How does Taskmasker stack up against how we know that character in the comics, where does Yelena go from here, when are we getting a Brady Bunch-esque spinoff of Alexis and the rest of the family? These are the real questions and questions we dive into with Game Informer's latest episode of Spoiled!

The latest Marvel movie has been long in the making, and though it did see some delays, it is finally here! Black Widow has been a character that fans have been clamoring to see in a standalone film. Now that it has arrived, we are digging deep to see if it delivers. From exploring her past pre-Red Room to seeing exactly how far the corruption of this organization goes, Black Widow deals in heavy themes such as trauma, abuse, and loss of free will. But, it's not all stern storylines and life or death situations; The Black Widow movie has more than enough moments of levity and also explores a relationship between two sisters that feels organic and natural. It also gave us a chance to see Natasha find her long-awaited redemption and shows off the power of family, whether they are blood or not.

Join Ben Reeves, Marcus Stewart, and Liana Ruppert as they dive deep into the latest Marvel flick. We discuss what we loved about the movie, what we didn't like, how it stood the test of expectations, and where we think the MCU will go next. And our undying love for Yelena, Natasha's younger sister, who truly stole the film in our humble opinion.

You can also check out our Spoiled on our YouTube channel as well, in addition to a plethora of other video choices there for your amusement. So sit back, crack open a cold water (because it's hot and Black Widow would want you to be hydrated), and come share with us your thoughts on how the Black Widow movie fits into the bigger picture of the MCU.
Mon, 12 Jul 2021 16:00:00 CDT Liana Ruppert 114902 Monster Hunter Stories 2 Review And 2021 Games We're Excited to Play – GI Show https://www.gameinformer.com/the-game-informer-show/2021/07/08/monster-hunter-stories-2-review-and-2021-games-were-excited-to
In this week's episode of The Game Informer Show, we discuss a handful of games we've been digging recently, including Griftlands, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Shape of the World, Oxenfree, and more. Nefarious ne'er do well Alex Stadnik has captured Ben Reeves and taken over as host for the week and is bringing the hype! First up, we introduce you to new hire John Carson to discuss his love of games and how he made his way to Game Informer. From there Liana Ruppert and Jay Guisao lose their collective minds over the explosive Battlefield 2042 reveal and discuss their hands-on time with DICE's bombastic shooter.

But the hype doesn't die there. Ben Reeves escapes Stadnik's grasp long enough to chat about all things Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with the EIC himself Andrew Reiner. And stop me if you've heard this before, but we end this week's show with another amazing round of community emails and GI's Ultimate Character Rankings!

Thanks for listening! But one does not celebrate such an occasion with a casual 15-minute chat.

We dedicated a whole special edition of The GI Show to give our clairvoyant predictions about what the likes of Microsoft, Nintendo, and more have to surprise us when E3 (and Geoff Keighley) open their digital doors to the masses. Will we see anything from huge tentpoles such as The Elder Scrolls VI or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2? What will PlayStation's presence entail? How are we going to contain ourselves when Halo Infinite comes on screen? Only time will tell.

The wait for E3 week (weekend? Month? How do we quantify this anymore?) can be excruciating, but we have just the remedy to tide you over.
