The Sailor’s Dream
We live in an age of rapid-fire countdowns, teasers, and trailers. In many cases, anyone paying attention knows exactly what to expect from a game (or movie) before loading it up for the first time.
Simogo, who made a splash in the mobile scene with Year Walk and Device 6, is getting ready to release a new game called The Sailor’s Dream. This is where we’d normally tell you all about it, its features, and what you can expect.
We can’t though, because we just don’t know. And you know what? That’s kind of refreshing.
Simogo explains its reasoning bluntly. “It’s quite simple,” the developer writes. “We just don’t don’t want to rob you of the sense of wonder and discovery.”
I think back to both Year Walk and Device 6, both games I had heard were “great” and “worth playing.” I didn’t really know anything about them though, and was pleasantly surprised when I took the leap.
Simogo does say that The Sailor’s Dream is nothing like its previous titles. Because they know fans want a taste, they’ve put together a one-minute trailer introducing us to a broadcast of some sort.
The Sailor’s Dream will be out soon for iOS devices, but no release date has been firmed up yet.
