Independent UK developer Splendy Games has announced The Bunker, an entirely live-action horror game. This hybrid of film and video game will be coming to PC, consoles and mobile at some point this summer.

The Bunker follows the disturbed life of John, the last man alive inside a government bunker years after England was destroyed in a nuclear attack. It was filmed completely on location in a real decommissioned nuclear shelter, meaning the game will not have any CGI or motion capture at all. Get the first look in the trailer below.

The game stars Adam Brown (The Hobbit trilogy) in the lead role, as well as Sarah Greene (Penny Dreadful) of Assassin's Creed III fame. The story is written and developed by several minds behind games like Broken Sword, The Witcher and SOMA.

The player will guide John through the bunker, confronting his suppressed memories in order to survive the increasingly horrific underground. Gameplay will involve puzzle-solving as well as item discovery in order to trigger flashbacks, all while gaining important information about the darker depths and secrets of the bunker. Specific consoles and mobile devices have not yet been announced.
