Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai knows how to deliver fan service. In his latest Miiverse post and reveal, the man behind Nintendo’s mascot brawler takes us back to our 8-bit childhood.

Dr. Wily’s Castle will be a stage in the upcoming Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. (no images were shown from the 3DS installment yet, but we’re hopeful). Not only will players duke it out in front of the skull-adorned edifice, but an old foe will make things even more challenging.

Those who played the original Mega Man will recognize the “yellow devil.” Unless Mega Man is packing Elecman’s weapon in his buster (and can take advantage of rapidly toggling the pause), he might just have his hands full.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will be out some time in 2014. For the latest reveals, check out the Skull Kid, Marth, Sonic, a redesigned Ray Gun, the 3DS Mii Plaza, and a male Wii Fit trainer.
