NHL 15 developer EA Canada has released a video showing off the game's new deke system. A lot of the moves may look familiar from past NHL titles, but the devil may be in the details.

Moves like feathering the puck in between sticks, spin-o-ramas, and toe drags have all been in previous titles in the franchise, but there are ways that NHL 15 can set itself apart. The video talks about performing moves on the glide and while moving at angles, which brings up the question of whether players will be locked into deke animations or if player movement while performing the skill moves will be fluid and responsive. It will also be interesting to see how independent the puck behaves the whole time.

The moves may look the same, but hopefully how it all comes together makes the system different and improved. Also key will be how these moves are pulled off via the controller.

As a bonus, here's a video detailing the game's new physics, which should create more havoc in places like in front of the net.

NHL 15 comes out for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on September 9.
