Need for Speed: The Run
EA's Need For Speed: The Run is taking players out of the car, but that doesn't mean that the game is losing sight of its racing foundation. Take a look at this gameplay trailer showing off a desert showdown.
This trailer shows a race segment in the Desert Hills area of the map, as you go cross country from San Francisco to New York. This particular segment tasks you with passing 10 cars in under seven minutes.
The gameplay clip also shows that the standard racing in The Run is still broken up into discrete races. Although you race against more than a hundred competitors during the overall event, it's not like it's one long persistent race or anything.
