God of War: Collection
God of War number one
on August 25, 2012 at 02:02 AM
First of all, to see how I feel about this collection in general please refer to my rating of the collection. It is quite amazing! However, this review is for the first game only. I just wanted to throw a couple of things in here to let you know that if you haven't played these games in awhile, and...
God of War Collection Review
on March 02, 2012 at 06:42 PM
Overview: God of War. What can I say abou this game that hasn't already been said? In my humble opinion, this series single handedly revolutionized the hack & slash genre into what it is today. The God of War games back on the PlayStation 2 were a major part of my teenage years (I still remember...
Kratos is a beast!!!
on December 20, 2010 at 11:50 AM
What!!! Do these two games really need a review. Is there anyone on the planet who has not played God of War? just a joke, I'm sure there are. But seriously this is one the best games/series of all time. Kratos is BA, and the greek mythology that the game is bent around is some of the most historically...
I'm just looking back at the old times
on September 20, 2010 at 09:40 PM
Fun, great action pack. Only one can say these words to one title God of war. Back in the day when i was playing this game it was cool. And sony brought an hd remake of our favorite game. It's like playing the ps2 times. Even if you have played this game on the ps2 it doesn't matter you must...
Broke my PS3 prejudice
on May 04, 2010 at 12:19 AM
I always saw myself as a single-console kind of guy. I always wondered why GoW drew so much attention. This changed as soon as my GF brought her PS3 to our house and soon after bought me the GoW collection as a present (yeah, she's awesome like that). Within ten minutes of starting the first game...

If you have never played God of War...BUY a PS3 and BUY this collection!!
same old ,same old... but still one fun hell of a ride
i just pooped in my pants because of this game
on January 05, 2010 at 06:53 PM
before my play time with this game i felt like i was about to play the same game i did about 2 years ago. i was right but at the same time boy was i wrong. gameplay graphis have been improved for ps3 quality and hd capability was added for the best gow experience. plus it come in a single disc with some...
God of War Collection
on January 02, 2010 at 01:23 PM
After playing through the first game with some buddies of mine in one night and then playing the second game on my own once again, this series is still amazing. It's great to be able to have these two great quality games on one disc. Though it seems that there wasn't much improvement on the graphics...
The God of War Still Doesn't Bore
on December 18, 2009 at 08:13 PM
God of War I and II are two of the greatest action-adventure games ever created. The first game blew me away with its incredible combat, beautiful graphics, interesting story, and many other great elements that I never expected out of a game that wasn’t really on my radar before its launch. Then...
GOW is a WOW!!!
on December 17, 2009 at 03:50 AM
The games are simply amazing. I played through both on my ps2 multiple times. Now they're back. let me tell you I didn't think they could get any more awesome than when they came out. But I was wrong, beautiful brutal kills enhanced by hi-def, a score that still blows me away. But the thing I...
Amazing gameplay, horrible jagged cutscenes.
on December 04, 2009 at 01:22 PM
These games are the best, and having both on one disc with the GAMEPLAY upgraded to HD is awesome. I would've given it a 10, but I have to close my eyes every time there's a cutscene... and there are dozens. Gameplay is still a 10 like it was, but why did they remaster the gameplay graphics and...
God of War Collection Rating
on November 22, 2009 at 03:36 PM
Each God of War game is incredible. There are a few minor flaws here and there but they are completely over shadowed by the rest of the game that they are virtualy unnoticable. These games have excelent controls and their graphics still hold up to analysis. God of War 1 and 2 can both be replayed multiple...
Finally, a compilation that honors a classic rather than rehashes it!
Orochisama LEVON, Spectre
on November 19, 2009 at 09:52 PM
I fell in love with both of the God of War titles, and being the uber-nerd that I am, was also among the legions of fans who painstakingly mastered every nuance of the games, esp. God of War 2. This included the problematic arena challenges of the sequel, along with playing through the game in each special...

Two classics. Refurbished. Packaged together. I'm all for it. I wonder which companies and games will follow suit?.. Trophies or achievement points are a nice incentive to go back and re-beat some of your old favorites. They also give you a reason to shoot for the replays on harder difficulty modes...
Previous GOW titles get a graphical facelift
on November 16, 2009 at 11:01 PM
How can you forget GOW and 2 and if you did you're living in a hole. I miss playing these games as my ps2 suddenly died a few months back but I'll be getting a ps3 soon so I'll get to play them again and with HD at that which is a huge improvement, not that it's really needed seeing as...
I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On This !
on November 16, 2009 at 08:42 PM
I give it a 10 already before playing it because they were my favorite games for the PS2. Now my dreams have come true & I can play it on my PS3. Finally something to hold my hunger for GOW 3 !
What an amazing series.
on November 16, 2009 at 07:53 PM
It shows how amazing this IP is when the games are re-released and they still score so high. GOW was one of the best graphically pleasing games on the PS2. Now with a graphic facelift this collection will just make you more anxious to see hoe the trilogy ends.
Two of the best games of all time with better graphics
on November 16, 2009 at 07:28 PM
Honestly who doesn't love God of War. It revolutionized combat, puzzles, and platforming into one giant game. Both of these games together with PS3 graphics is a gift from the heavens and I only wish I had a PS3 so I could once again experience these great games.
