God of War: Ascension AIO (All in one) Guide

#GodofWar: #Ascension is a dreadfully #bloody #adventure filled with breathtakingly thrilling #combat.

God of War: Ascension is a Hack N’ Slash Action game and PlayStation 3 exclusive that serves as a prequel to the popular God of War video game series. The game is the seventh release in the series, and reveals the details of Kratos’ initial betrayal by Ares while human, and the source of his rage

God of War Ascensions features some very fun and addictive multiplayer which is as brutally good as the single player. I have made this little guide for multiplayer for reference and I have covered as much as I think I can cover but if you would like to add anything yourself just post away below.

God of War Ascension Walkthrough

Before He Was a God, He Was a Man:

God of War Ascension walkthrough will guide you through the beginning to ending moments of gameplay with strategy tips for this hack and slash Exclusive Action-Adventure PS3 Game.Vengeance is born in the fires of betrayal in this prequel to the best-selling God of War franchise.

Six months have passed since Kratos stood over the bodies of his wife and child, his hands stained with their blood – tricked by Ares into murdering the only people he ever loved. Swearing to avenge them, Kratos broke the blood oath that bound him to Ares, but oaths to Olympus are not so easily broken…

Sentenced to an eternity chained within a prison for the living damned, Kratos battles insanity at the hands of the Furies. He will be tested as he seeks freedom, redemption for his sins, and the clarity to avenge his family.

Updated Single-Player Combat & Franchise First Multiplayer:

God of War: Ascension features a variety of new gameplay mechanics. In the single-player campaign these include a new prompt-free button input system, the ability to pickup and switch weapons, time manipulation, and new enemies to battle.

In addition, God of War: Ascension features franchise first multiplayer, supporting up to 8 players in online play in which players have access to different weapons, armor, powers and control mythological characters in certain scenarios.

Kratos can now steal weapons from his enemies, acquiring powerful secondary attacks, allowing for unimaginable vicious combo attacks and new strategies. Combine the Blades of Chaos with your enemies’ weapons for the most lethal attacks. You will also be provided with tips on using the combat system. A revamped and intense combat action experience, you will feel every impact as Kratos destroys his enemies

The basic story is that Kratos, ever a beacon of sensitivity and consideration, beats the everloving crap out of a woman (a beatdown suffering from no shortage of upskirt camera angles) before impaling her on a spike. In fairness, the woman is evil, laughs off most of the violence, and appears unharmed afterward, but the real issue is the fact that, after the battle and a brief exchange with a male ally, players get a Trophy called "Bros Before Hos."

God of War Ascension Trophies brief guide

After spending a great deal of time in God of War: Ascension over the last 24 hours, it’s apparent that much of this game can be completed without a guide, considering it’s very, very linear. However, there are some tricks and tips that can help make a little bit easier

Most of the trophies can be obtained by simply playing through the game, so I won’t waste your valuable game-playing time with those. Instead, I’ll cover the tricky ones that can benefit from a little know-how.

Champion of the Gods -Platinum
-Unlock all trophies

You know the drill. Earn all other trophies to get the Platinum trophy for this game.

Blood Oath -Bronze
-Complete the MP Training in Olympus

Complete the tutorial when first playing the game’s multiplayer modes. You must complete the tutorial before starting multiplayer, so it cannot be missed.

Prison Break -Bronze
-Free Kratos from his imprisonment

Story Related. Finish the first QTE event at the start of the game.

Gotta  Hand It To You -Bronze
-Defeat the infected hand of Aegeon

Story Related. Complete the first boss encounter of the game. The hand will appear many times throughout the first area.

Unleashed -Bronze
-Disarm a grappled enemy

This is an easy one. Use R1 to grapple and press circle to disarm an enemy.

Big Spender -Bronze
-Upgrade any Magic to the next level

Upgrade any of the four magics in the game using red orbs from the pause menu (Fire of Ares, Ice of Poseidon, Lighting of Zeus, or Soul of Hades).

Round and Round -Bronze
-Solve the Rolling Crusher Puzzle

Pending completion

Open Minded -Bronze
-Win the buttonless MiniGame against a Juggernaut

Once the red notification appears above a Juggernaut’s head, grapple using R1 to initiate the mini-game. To win, hit square or triangle for light or heavy attacks respectively, and dodge to the left or right when attacked. Keep attacking and Kratos will eventually slice open the Juggernaut’s skull, netting you the trophy

Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. BadBoy! -Bronze
-Perform a 1000 Hit Combo

In the stage called The Furnace there is a section of gameplay where Kratos is trapped between two canisters pouring flames. Kratos is attacked by a number of Satyr enemies. Due to the close quarters, this is the perfect time to earn this 1000-hit combo. It’s even easier if you are alternating between spamming a fully upgraded Lightning spell and increasing its hit streak by alternating L1 and R1 repeatedly, followed by holding square to do Kratos’ spinning attack.

Swinger -Bronze
-Ring out an enemy with the club

The club is a World Weapon. Simply use it to defeat an enemy in full and you will get this trophy.

Snakes on a Train -Bronze
-Ride the snake back to the Tower of Delphi

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

Bros Before Hos -Silver
-Escape the Fury Ambush

Story Related. Cannot be missed.

Fireproof -Silver
-Complete the Screw of Archimedes without getting hit by the Fire Traps

During the Screw of Archimedes you will need to avoid all of the fire traps. This may take a couple of tries. If you do get hit, simply die and try again.

No Drake. You Can’t Have These -Gold
-Collect all Artifacts in the game

Collect all artifacts in the game. Full list is still a work in progress. Check back for updates.

Next Time Use The Stairs -Gold
-Complete the Gauntlet of Archimedes

This is probably the most difficult challenge in the game, but it cannot be missed if you finish the story. During the Gauntlet, be sure to use the Eyes of Truth to stun enemies and unleash all of your magic against the Gorgons, which replenish magic when killed. In the next round, kill the blue Avatar-looking enemies first, as they release green orbs to replenish health. Beyond that, just stay alive and try not to die! Good luck!

If It Ain’t Broke -Gold
-Reconstruct all of the Decayed Chests

Use the Amulet of Uroborus to “heal” all decayed chests. Reconstructing them turns them into red orb chests.

Bond Broken -Gold

Legendary Warrior -Gold
-Complete the game on Hard Difficulty

Finish the game on hard difficulty. You cannot use New Game+ for this

God of War: Ascension World Weapons Locations Guide

In the new God of Wars: Ascension Collectors Edition, you don’t get to play with all those fancy toys that Kratos was busy collecting in the previous two games. Instead, you’re given your conventional good ol’ Blades of Chaos, and then an option to collect a set of hunk-a-junk average weapons, to be used as your secondary arsenal.

These weapons are called ‘World Weapons’, simply because they are used by the ‘normal’ fellows in the world. As Kratos progresses in his brutal journey of flesh and blood, he can disarm enemies to use these weapons, or collect them from here and there if he likes.

Of course, these just serve as temporary weapons, and can be discarded any time. By doing so, Kratos throws the weapon at an enemy to stun them. Sweet!

There are five types of World Weapons in total, and each one has a slightly different purpose:

  • Sword
  • Spear
  • Club
  • Shield
  • Sling
