The latest monster to join Evolve's expanding cast is the ethereal Wraith, who specializes in playing with your expectations.

You can check out a trailer showcasing the Wraith below. It can turn invisible, deploy smart decoys that are capable of hunting, and sneak up behind you for a dangerous pounce attack.

Additionally, ahead of the game's February 17 launch, an open beta will be held on Xbox One starting January 15. Hunt mode with the monsters Goliath and Kraken, as well as eight different hunters Markov, Maggie, Val, Hank, Hyde, Griffin, Lazarus, and Bucket, and 12 maps will be available. Starting January 17, Evolve’s dynamic campaign, Evacuation, will also open up for Xbox One beta players. Anything unlocked here will carry over to the full release in February. To get into the open beta on Xbox One, you will have to be a Xbox Live Gold subscriber, but that's it.

If you're on PC or PlayStation 4, a small closed technical beta will open January 16 and 17 respectively. PC alpha players and BioShock Infinite and Left 4 Dead owners are automatically invited to this test. PlayStation 4 alpha players will be randomly selected to participate, so check your inbox. Unfortunately, unlike the Xbox One open beta, unlocks won't carry forward to the final game and Evacuation mode won't be available.
