"The Kid Starts to Wonder if the Game's Ever Gonna End..."
on January 05, 2013 at 02:58 PM
All the praises Bastion gets are well deserved, but there is one seldom given criticism -- it is too bloody long. By the time I was about one third of the way through the game, I expected to be done, but then it went on for two more thirds. For the second third, I went along with it, and then when the...
A World All Twisted, On A Rock In The Sky
on October 01, 2012 at 03:26 PM
Concept Restore a world rocked by the Calamity Graphics Phenomenal. The hand-painted art is fantastic Sound Good, if you're into trip-hop. If not, still good Controls Supports mouse/keyboard, but I preferred the gamepad Technical Framerate slightly drops during rain. Other than that, no issues Replayability...
Powefull and Fun

Bastion is an excellent game that finds the perfect balance of innovation with familiarity in every way. Every time I think I have the game figured out, it pleasantly surprises me and makes me want to play even more. The most obvious way that Bastion excels is it's sound. Two things from the audio...
A Dream So Real - Review of Bastion
on March 23, 2012 at 12:00 PM
Have you ever woken up from a dream that was so real, it made you question whether or not you had woken up or actually fallen asleep? One of those dreams where the events, people, and things seem so real you can tangibly taste them... feel them... and feel for them? That magical and scary feeling is...
This Game Brought Me To Tears
on March 21, 2012 at 09:05 PM
This game has one of the most compelling narratives I have ever seen. The way the story focuses on the loss that the characters experienced made a real connection to the player. And the final choice you make was one of the most difficult ones I have ever had to make. The music was unlike anything I have...
Bastion is Fortifield With Immense Amounts of Creativity and Depth
on January 09, 2012 at 12:15 PM
There was a deal recently on Xbox LIVE that priced Bastion at 600 Microsoft Points (normally 1200). I heard about the game and the great reviews it scored, but wasn't that interested in it. I never tend to buy downloadable games anyway, but I did purchase Outland a few months ago and loved it. Who...
Bigger on the Inside
on January 08, 2012 at 01:56 PM
Video games are defined by their aesthetic, their gameplay, their art, their music, their atmosphere, their visuals, and their contemporaries. These pieces combine to create the immersive world of the game, and if they are capable then they support one another. A game that practices gestalt, in this...

This game is fantastic, the narration and art style make this game awesome to play, unfortunately I had to wait to get it on Steam for PC and would be more enjoyable if i had a gamepad to use instead of the mouse/keyboard combo, but in the drought of this summer by far worth the $ to get this game.
Aside from a few minor flaws, the Bastion shines
on August 04, 2011 at 12:24 AM
I went into this game not knowing what to expect but came out blown away. Unique and beautiful music and art direction make this game stand out from many other arcade titles. The gameplay is solid, and there are many great weapons and upgrades to be had, enough to be sure that no one person plays the...
Bastion- Very Cool Summer of Arcade Addition
on July 29, 2011 at 02:05 AM
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Bastion was the first release of Xbox’s summer of arcade for 2011 and it is awesome. Bastion has a narrator that unfolds the history of the world as the hero explores the several stages. The narrator has a very rusty and...
Bastion Review (Fr0w3fac3k11Lr)
on July 28, 2011 at 12:00 PM
I'm short on time so let me get right into this. Bastion is a fun and edgy action RPG. It takes place in a floating world raveged by a life altering event called the "calamity". The character you play as is only known by one name "the kid". This is a name given to him by the stranger...
Incredible, Simply Incredible
on July 27, 2011 at 02:23 PM
Players will be absorbed into the epic tale of "The Kid" versus the world almost instantly. The trial of the game simply does not do it justice, but nearly immediately after downloading the full game, I felt the incredible storytelling and art come to life. One of the few downsides of the game...
Bastion Review 7/24/2011
on July 24, 2011 at 10:58 AM
Since the first article about Bastion came out, I've been anxious to learn more about the game. With its release on July 20, 2011, the wait has been well worth it. Bastion places you in the role of The Kid, a silent protagonist completing tasks to restore the world's only remaining hub, the Bastion...

Good but flawed as the narrator can be annoying but at the same time amazing and breathtaking. The same goes for gameplay
One of the Best Games of The Year
on July 20, 2011 at 05:14 PM
Bastion is an amazing game. Every aspect of it ties together beautifully (quite literally, just look at it!), and creates a harmony between gameplay, story, sound, and aesthetics that is rarely, if ever, seen in video games. I keep trying to come up with things that aren't good about it, and I can't...

Kicking off the summer of arcade on Xbox live is the game Bastion. Bastion is one of the games were you run around dungeons and kill people for loot, but at the same time it is so much different. The narrator of the story comments on your actions as you go along and it feels as if you are crafting your...
