Arslan: The Warriors of Legend
Koei Tecmo has shared new info for Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, its action tactics game inspired by the '80s novel-series-turned-anime. In addition to new gameplay details, the publisher has a new trailer featuring Arslan's colorful warriors in action.
Arslan tells the story of a young prince who must reclaim his kingdom after being ousted by an invading empire. Like Dynasty Warriors, players plow through humongous waves of enemies using a variety of flashy attacks.
Character equipment is upgraded and customized by assigning them Weapon Arts, attribute-based stat-enhancers (water, fire, power). Weapons unlock new powers and abilities the more they’re used, and can be combined with other armaments to unleash Chain Strikes and other devastating combos.
Koei Tecmo also reveals two new stages: Mount Bashur and the Kingdom of Shindhura. Witness how Arslan's warriors dish out copious amounts of pain in the trailer below.
Arslan: The Warriors of Legend releases February 9, 2016, in North America for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and digitally for PlayStation 3.
