The lights are on
Let me give you the rundown of my full problem:
I just built a new gaming PC, it has an MSI motherboard (I forget what type but it says military grade class 4 on it). I have a Radeon 380x graphics card with 2GB of VRAM. A 500watt power supply. And one stupid intel i3 pentium processor which I paid 60ish dollars for. It has served me well over the past few weeks but something threw a wrench in my system. My cousin is giving me his superior gtx 970 and I have no idea what I need to update. I have this sneaking suspicion that my CPU and motherboard will both be a bottleneck to this better graphics card.
I'm on a tight budget, but I'm willing to upgrade a few parts. What do you suggest?
Hi Boo,
I can probably help but I need a little more information first. What is the CPU socket type of your motherboard? LGA 1150? LGA 1511?
