A short teaser was released recently, giving a glimpse at the upcoming anime called Persona 5 The Animation.

Produced by both Altus and the animation studio A-1 Pictures, this anime follows the same story as the well-received JRPG Persona 5. In the trailer below, it shows off some beginning moments up until the protagonist receives his first Persona.

Persona 5 The Animation will air in Japan by April. It's unclear whether it will eventually be localized or dubbed for Western audiences. Several anime adaptations have been made for the Persona franchise in the past, including a film series for Persona 3 and two TV adaptations for Persona 4. Additionally, Persona 5 received a 30-minute anime titled The Daybreakers before the game's launch.

Persona 5 released last year in North America for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. You can read our review here.
