by Imran Khan on Sep 13, 2017 at 05:25 PM

In 2015, Tencent released mobile MOBA King of Glory (translated as Honor of Kings or Arena of Valor) in China. It quickly gained momentum and boasted numbers of 80 million daily players and 200 million monthly active players, making it one of the most successful mobile Chinese titles internationally and once the top revenue-generating title on phones, period. In today's Nintendo Direct, the game was announced for the Switch.

The mobile version has a Player vs. Enemy Adventure mode in addition to the main multiplayer modes, which can further be broken down with different numbers of players in each mode. Tencent also owns League of Legends through their ownership of developer Riot Games.

The Switch version is coming in 2018, but a free beta is launching later this year.
