by Zak Wojnar on Apr 07, 2017 at 02:39 PM

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II has added a new cast member, and she should be familiar to fans of HBO's Westworld.

Shannon Woodward is best known for her role as Elsie Hughes in the hit premium drama, but fans might also recognize her for her role in the cult FOX sitcom, Raising Hope. She confirmed her role in The Last of Us through Twitter, by way of an adorable selfie with game director Neil Druckmann.

Plot details on The Last of Us Part II are being kept tightly under wraps, and we don't know what role Woodward will be playing in the post-apocalyptic title, but her inclusion is just one more reason to be hyped for the sequel to Game Informer's 2013 Game of the Year.

The Last of Us Part II is currently in development for PlayStation 4. For more on the title, check out the reveal trailer and our thoughts on the myriad paths the sequel's narrative might explore. If you have yet to play the original game, what are you waiting for?

Our Take
The Last of Us Part II doesn't have a release window yet, but it's nice to see that development is chugging along, and with such a fan-favorite actor added to the ensemble. I hope Naughty Dog has more casting announcements up its sleeves in the near future.
