Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Trailer Reveals That Grand Admiral Thrawn Is Now Canon
At the ongoing Star Wars Celebration event this weekend, a new trailer for season three of Star Wars Rebels has been unveiled, and it confirms that Grand Admiral Thrawn is now part of the official Star Wars canon.
Thrawn will be voiced by Lars Mikkelsen, the older brother of Rogue One actor Mads Mikkelsen.
The villainous, fan-favorite character was first introduced in Timothy Zahn's Thrawn book trilogy in the early '90s, beginning with Heir to the Empire. However, the series was considered non-canon. Now, Zahn is releasing a new Thrawn novel, which will be out by spring 2017. You can view the cover below.
