Deadly Premonition Getting A Collector's Edition Five Years After Its Original Release

by Kyle Hilliard on Sep 12, 2015 at 07:46 AM

A 2010 horror game with an overall review score of 68 on Metacritic is getting a special collector's edition in November.

Deadly Premonition is the quintessential cult classic, so bad it's good video game. It is undeniably engaging and interesting despite myriad shortcomings, many of which (like questionable voice acting and a bizarre soundtrack) manage to somehow make the game better.

On November 24, NIS America – who was not the game's publisher on Xbox 360, or for its PlayStation 3 Director's Cut release – is releasing the collector's edition version. The bundle will include the PlayStation 3 director's cut version of the game alongside an art book, a soundtrack, a custom pack of Deadly Premonition playing cards, and a voucher to grab all the game's DLC. The collector's edition will be $49.99 and you can grab it here.

Our Take
I count myself among the fans of Swery's bizarre Twin Peaks love letter. I'm definitely considering getting this, despite already having a copy of the director's cut on my shelf. I think it might be best to just hold out for a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version, though.
