Pokémon Shuffle Update Adds New Content

by Bryan Vore on May 27, 2015 at 08:00 AM

Nintendo's free-to-play match-three 3DS puzzler gets an update that will make pokémon easier to catch among other changes. Here's the list of what to expect.

  • The new Super Catch Power consumable can be used to greatly increase the odds that you will successfully catch a pokémon at the end of a level.
  • The special Victini's stage will appear every Saturday and Sunday for a limited time and grant extra experience points.
  • Heart usage has changed so that automatically regenerating hearts will be used first instead of ones earned through other methods.
  • Players will be able to look at a pokémon's stats immediately upon catching them.
  • Combo records are shown onscreen for a longer span of time.

Nintendo also promises that more new event stages are coming soon.
