[Update] Freelance 3D Artist Lists Fallout 4 Cinematic Trailer On LinkedIn Profile

by Mike Futter on May 11, 2015 at 06:37 AM

Update: Artist Luis Nieves has removed the mention of Fallout 4 from his LinkedIn profile. We are still waiting on comments from Bethesda, Mirada, and Blur.

Thanks to Twitter user @4allout for letting us know about the change.

Original Story:

A freelance 3D artist by the name of Luis Nieves has given more creedence to the hope that Fallout 4 will be unveiled at E3. On his LinkedIn profile, Nieves lists a number of video game-related works, including "Far Cry 4 Cinematic" for Blur Studio, The Elder Scrolls Cinematic for Blur Studio, and "Fallout 4 cinematic trailer" for Guillermo del Toro-founded Mirada Studios.

Mirada has also worked on a number of projects for Disney, Katy Perry, Five Gum, Target, and IBM. We've reached out to the company to confirm Nieves' employment and the project in question. We've also reached out to Bethesda, and we'll update should we receive a response.

We confirmed via the company's demo reel that Blur worked on The Elder Scrolls Online Cinematic. The video also includes footage from Far Cry 3 (though may not have been updated to include Far Cry 4). We've reached out to Blur to confirm Nieves' involvement in past work.

Bethesda will be hosting its first E3 press conference on Sunday, June 14. For more information on how you can watch that, check out our regularly updated story of E3 press conferences.

Our Take
Bethesda has a solid poker face, and I don't expect a response that differs greatly from "We don't comment on rumors and speculation." With fans hoping that a Fallout 4 announcement kicks off E3 week, this is another log on the hype fire.
