All-Star Lineup Of Female Developers Celebrated In Oakland, California Exhibit

The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment (MADE) in Oakland, California, is premiering its exhibit "Women in Game Development" this Saturday, April 11, from 12 PM to 6 PM PST.

The exhibition showcases influential female developers from the famed The King's Quest creator Roberta Williams, to more modern examples such as Portal's Kim Swift. Featuring different aspects of game development, the exhibit will also include the music composer Yoko Shinomura's work for Street Fighter II. Check out the full list below.

On Sunday, April 12, MADE is hosting a gala in light of the opening exhibit, from 12 PM to 6 PM. Admission to both the gala and exhibit are free and all ages are welcome.

MADE is a volunteer-based organization founded by Andy Handy in 2010, a video game journalist and digital archivist. The museum was crowd-sourced via Kickstarter and raised an initial $20,000. Learn more about the event and the museum at their website.
