Techland Wants Your Suggestions For Dying Light Mod Tools

by Mike Futter on Feb 06, 2015 at 05:19 AM

Techland is in the process of developing mod tools for its recent release, Dying Light. While some intrepid gamers have already implemented some changes to the game, the developer wants to create a suite of tools that allow more creativity and ease of access.

The developer says it will be cultivating and supporting the best mods once the tools are released. In order to get to that point though, the team wants player input.

The studio has started a forum on its site, inviting players to suggest elements they’d like to see added. Some of the suggestions posted already include parachutes for higher jumps, the ability to plant an explosive on a zombie, and a crossbow that can be modified with different elemental bolts.

These ideas will be used by Techland to craft tools that make some of these things possible. You can chime in on Techland’s forum with your craziest ideas. For more on Dying Light, check out our review.

Our Take
If our experience with Skyrim and other heavily modifiable games is any indication, Dying Light could be a bastion of creativity. I’m playing the game on console, but if someone ends up implementing Macho Man Randy Savage dragon zombies, I’m going all-in on PC, too.
