Microsoft To Reveal Windows 10 Gaming Plans At Upcoming Event
In a reply to a fan on Twitter, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has revealed that he'll be discussing Microsoft's plans for gaming on Windows 10 in January.
The consumer event will take place on January 21, and according to Spencer's tweet, gaming on the new operating system is one of the topics on the docket.
@RpLayy I'll be focusing more on what we are doing on Win10 in January, it's time for us to talk about gaming on Windows.
— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) December 12, 2014
Microsoft announced Windows 10 back in September. Few details are known about the new OS, but Windows users will be happy to hear that the Start menu is making a comeback. We'll be covering the Windows 10 event, so be sure to come back on January 21 for all the headlines.

Our Take
The numerous
changes Microsoft has been pressured
into making for the Xbox One has painted the company as being out of touch
with what gamers want. Coming out with a strong and popular plan for gaming on
Windows 10 could help Microsoft change that, even if the company isn't directly
talking about its home console. I'm eager to see what Spencer has to say, and
what improvements Windows 10 offers – hopefully it's more like Windows 7 than
Windows 8.
