by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 07, 2014 at 06:09 AM

The latest Did You Know Gaming video looks at what could have been, what almost was, and why it is the way it is in the Mario universe.

The video looks at the doomed from the beginning CD-i games starring Mario, as well as a Mario Volleyball title from the makers of Super Mario Strikers that was deemed to violent for Nintendo's standards.

If you want to see us play Hotel Mario, the Philips CD-i Mario game that did make it to store shelves, head here and stick around for the Roulette segment.
