Sherlock Holmes To Appear In New Phoenix Wright Title

by Kyle Hilliard on Sep 13, 2014 at 05:36 AM

The next entry in the Phoenix Wright series, which goes back in time and casts players as one of Phoenix Wright's ancestors, will features Sherlock Holmes as a supporting character.

The news of Holmes' appearance, as well as details about another new character, Iris Watson (the pink-haired lady below) come from the game's official website.

Siliconera translated some of the details from the site revealing that the game will take place in Japan and England during the course of its story, which is how Wright's ancestor runs into Holmes.

The game, titled Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Ryuunosuke Naruhodou no Bouken, unfortunately has no confirmed North America release, yet. It takes place during the Meiji era of Japan sometime between 1868 to 1912. For more on the game, head here and here.

Our Take
Sherlock Holmes actually seems like the perfect fit for appearance in a Phoenix Wright game, considering the mystery solving gameplay it pursues outside of the courtroom sequences. I hope the game makes its way to North America. I'm fairly confident it will.
